Cafardo hears that plenty of teams, including the Phillies, Red Sox, Yankees, Orioles and Cubs, have inquired about Stanton, and Richard Durrett of ESPNDallas.com discussed whether the Texas Rangers are a logical trade partner.

Hopefully the Rangers trade for him and that would give us a better chance at landing Justin Upton! Stantons great but I doubht we have anything short of Bundy or Machado to get them interested and I don't think we trade them.

I'd give up Bundy or Machado plus two of the cavalry if that's what it took, and that would seem to make sense for the Marlins. Maybe even all 4 of the cavalry and then sign Saunders and Myers to one year deals to hold down the fort until Bundy and Gausman are ready- that would give us an average rotation and stellar lineup.

Imagine Stanton, Jones and Markakis in the same outfield, all hitting in the top 4 places of our lineup. We'd have the most feared offense in the division for the forseeable future.
